Glowing with spring energy — a patch of leafing trees is accented by the sun. The day, warm and overcast with sections of blue sky highlighting the pastel spring growth. Pale greens, yellows, pinks, reds and blossoming trees mark the expansive view over farms, streams, brooks and the distant Adirondack mountain range. The air is sweet with smells from the awakening earth and the air, a gentle caress on my skin. These sounds fill me with joy as frogs and all kinds of birds sing out in the peaceful morning. I practice my stretching and T’ai Chi on high and feel worries shed from my shoulders. I am grateful I can be there, that I can see, hear, feel. I am alive and feel myself merged with the warm breeze.

As we come into this time of year, many of us get ready to plant our gardens, and as I get ready to plant mine, I would like you to see some of my batik that show the spring growing energy in the garden.
