Poseidon Celebrates the Sea
This is one of my exciting new batik, just completed for the Myths from the Wax show at the Saratoga Library on Henry Street in Saratoga Springs, New York. It is called “Poseidon Celebrates the Sea.” This batik was begun last summer and finally finished in time for the show. It combines many, many different dye baths and layers and I tried a new technique of rubbing dyes into the wax at several points during the process.
