Autumn has arrived.

ironing out 5

Sundance

Golden highlights spread across the distant mountains and fields with abundant corn. The pastures are quiet with livestock peacefully grazing in the soft morning dew. Winds full of fresh energy gusted yesterday, bringing in the fall season.

Autumn has arrived.

I happily ironed out my batik on my sheltered porch in the brilliant sun. I feel grateful for the season, this day and, as always, for the inspiration surrounding me for my batik.

Below are pictures of my ironing out process of my batik. The batik is surrounded by plain newsprint and paper towels. To remove the wax, there are many stages of changing the paper to absorb the wax. And finally, a brilliant batik emerges… as well as a mess of paper, as seen in the pile below!
