Days are longer and brighter in spite of the frosty mornings that have kept spring grasses and leaves from sprouting. Now, at last in May, the sunlight warms our hearts and that of my critters. Steppin looks out on the day and likes what she sees. The wheelbarrow has been running full force with lots of loads to the compost at the end of the field. Vanilla chews quietly by the pear tree and looks out over all in his garden pose. The hills and valleys still will take time to green up, but they are beautiful, clear and showing sections of buds on the trees. It won’t be long before I’ll be able to get my dye buckets out and be happily dyeing my fabric with these two watching what I do.
