The light of this crisp windy morning is bright and filled with the optimism that only spring can bring. Yesterday the sun shone clear, warm and bright. The temperature rising to 50 degrees. Small rivers of water were streaming from the heaping piles of snow around our home and animals. Black Shadow was praying for spring, and Pretty Paws Grey was absorbing the goodness from the sun in the late afternoon light.
I took the opportunity to get out and snowshoe in the brightness of the day. My spirit renewed as I climbed up through the deep snow on my snowshoes to the high hills. Looking out over the fields and streams still covered with ice and snow. The Adirondack Mountain chain to the west loomed majestically, as always. Looking on it always connects me to the feeling of all time that I enjoy using as I create my batik art. So much has been here for generation upon generation to behold and walk upon. A feeling of peace and connection filled me and I pushed through the crystallized snow back down the hill with new inspiration.
