Maria Wulf’s blog Full Moon Fiber Art is here.
I had a visit this past week from Maria Wulf and Jon Katz in preparation for their Bedlam Farm Open House event this weekend (info on my Events Page). It was fun to share my batik art with Maria and Jon and have Maria select some of my work to be shown in her studio during the Open House. And it was a lot of fun showing them my animals! My good old cow Steppin Up and fun loving llama Vanilla, who was very grouchy that day after having been moved out of his shed for a brief time. Fortunately, Maria is his favorite person and he perked up and gave her a kiss.
More excitement is brewing as I have many batik gifts in The Advokate Boutique, who is having their special Lemonade Stand sale event this Saturday as well (Saturday, June 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.). I have found Kate’s shop to be a treasure of fun and beautiful gifts and will miss having it as a place to share my artwork as well as go buy great things for my grandchildren.
I have been working very hard to finish many new pieces for the LARAC Ancient Practices show, which will be opening on July 10.
I am so grateful for the summer and the morning light. It is always such an inspiration to me, especially after our long, dark winter.
