Horse through Web of Fire. I also call this one “War Horse”. This batik was created by starting with black fabric, and then going through an intricate process of bleaching and re-dyeing in. It’s a unique batik that could never be recreated.
I am so happy that this is the year of the horse, as the horse is my most favorite of animals. The horse symbolizes strength, grace, power, courage and service to man. The more time spent with the horse, the stronger the bond between human and horse. Great things can be achieved.
I like to use the horse in my art as a vehicle to express many things. The striving in life, movement, natural and earth forces. I will have more pictures of my horses in future blog posts to show some of these aspects.
